Where Premium Brands Come To Grow
This fast-growing fashion brand has successfully grown from inconsistent low 5-figure months into a million dollar brand… All within 6 months.
Read the article to discover the core strategies that formed the basis of their rapid growth strategy.
And, find out how you can replicate this in your own business.
Sarah’s journey began through heartfelt conversations with the determined women of Outback Queensland. They shared a longing for garments that reflect their bond with the land — shirts decorated with motifs of horses and cows.
And so, Outback Linen Co was born.
However, 18-months in, Sarah realised she lacked experience in scaling a small, product-based ecommerce business.
Having participated in some other group coaching and masterminds previously, where the advice she received was generic and not personalised to her own unique business, Sarah approached Productpreneur for guidance.
Despite the steep learning curve and several big challenges along the way, Sarah has successfully grown Outback Linen Co into a thriving 7-figure a year brand!
Here’s an overview of how she did it…
The immediate Challenge Sarah was struggling to overcome was scaling up her paid advertising without the cost-per-conversion blowing out.
Previously, she’d been getting good results from ads, but only on a low spend. When trying to scale up, the costs would skyrocket and become unprofitable.
The bigger underlying problem, however, was a lack of cohesive growth strategy.
Sarah felt a bit like a puppeteer trying to get each part of the business to work, but things were inconsistent and unpredictable.
However, through hard work, along with the personalised support from Cath and the team, she produced remarkable results in a very short time!
Here were the 3 key strategies we implemented to grow their monthly revenue from $40k to over $100k:
1. Get More Traffic (Without Over-Paying!)
There are three different kinds of traffic and every successful eCommerce brand needs all three: owned, earned and paid.
Prior to working with Productpreneur, Outback Linen Co was spending a reasonable amount on Meta Ads, but had been unable to scale them profitably. Since implementing our strategy, they’ve scaled their ads rapidly, generating nearly 120% more revenue from Meta ads, with a 24% reduction in cost per conversion and 25% increase in ROAS (return on ad spend).
They have also been able to rapidly scale up Google Ads whilst maintaining profitable conversions (with a whopping 931% increase in purchase conversion and over 6x ROAS)!
Their website is now well optimised for SEO and generated a 220% increase in organic search (the free stuff!).
And, as a result of consistent and ongoing email list-building and email marketing efforts, they generate over 33% of revenue from the database they own (also basically free traffic!)
2. Run Successful Product Launches
Running a fashion business (as is the same with many product categories) requires committing large amounts of capital to design and produce new collections regularly throughout the year.
This can be quite risky without a proven product launch sales process in place.
Outback Linen Co now has a reliable launch process that reliably sells through each new range, helping to ensure consistent and reliable sales revenue each time a new product is launched.
3. Maximise Customer Lifetime Value
Because it costs money to acquire each new customer, in the form of paying for traffic and offering discounts and incentives, it is pretty difficult to grow a profitable business if customers only buy one time.
By implementing a promotional calendar that incorporates regular marketing emails and promotions, Outback Linen Co has increased their returning customer rate by 19% year on year.
The highest impact leverage points in this multi-channel campaign success were:
1. Increasing the revenue from ‘Owned’ data – revenue generated from their Klaviyo database increased 67%! The ROI on this revenue is huge – 3800%. This single datapoint resulted in a massive increase in profitability for this brand.
2. Massively increasing the revenue from from Google Ads traffic by 943% with a high return on ad spend (ROAS) of 6.04, contributing significantly to the revenue growth and accelerating the speed of growth.
3. Increasing the revenue from free Organic Search traffic by 220%, also contributing a significant improvement to the overall profitability of the business.
4. Increasing the efficiency and profitability of Meta ads, producing a 118% increase in attributed revenue, a 24% reduction in costs and 25% increase in ROAS.
“Working with Cath and the Productpreneur team has been invaluable.
This experience has probably been the essential tool that helped me to scale Outback Linen Co by 100% in only 6 months, from $40k months to over $100k months!
This past year has been wild to say the least! I can whole heartily say Outback Linen Co wouldn’t have achieved its current status without the invaluable support and expertise provided by Cath and the team.
I 100% would recommend the Productpreneur.“

What worked for Outback Linen wasn’t a template. It was a custom strategy designed around their brand, their buyer, and their specific market – directed by a senior strategist who got to know the business inside out.
That’s what we do – at three different levels of partnership, depending on where your business is. Some founders start with one of our self-paced Growth Playbooks. Others hire a strategist to direct their team. And some hand the whole engine to us through our Brand Growth Partnership.
Whichever level fits, it starts the same way: a real conversation about your brand.
Productpreneur Marketing is a senior eCommerce marketing strategy agency working exclusively with premium brands across Australia, New Zealand, and (occasionally) further afield. Our average client stays with us over two years – not because they’re locked in, but because the work continues to compound.
We work in three tiers. Self-paced Growth Playbooks for founders who want to do the strategic work themselves. Hire a Strategist engagements for brands ready for senior strategic leadership directing their existing team. And full Brand Growth Partnerships for premium brands ready to hand the entire marketing engine to a specialist team.
Our founder, Catherine Langman, brings two decades of digital marketing experience – including senior work with Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Blackmores, and RMK Shoes – plus a decade as a premium eCommerce founder herself, having launched, scaled, and sold an award-winning international brand. That dual lens – marketing strategist and eCommerce operator – is what shapes how every member of our team thinks about your business.
We don’t just run campaigns. We build growth systems – designed specifically for premium buyer psychology, not generic platform best practices.
